The Climate Registry

NESCCAF and NESCAUM are founding organizations in establishing a national, state-based greenhouse gas reporting initiative. The Climate Registry is a collaboration of states, tribes, and provinces developing and managing a common greenhouse gas emissions reporting system with high integrity to support various greenhouse gas emission reporting and reduction policies.

NESCCAF and NESCAUM managed the development and incorporation of The Climate Registry on behalf of states in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region participating in the process. With the growth from our regional effort into a national program, our team is now providing key staff support to The Climate Registry, coordinating board activities, developing technical and program elements, and facilitating linkages with other state and regional climate programs.

Once the Registry is launched for reporting in January 2008, we will continue to provide technical support and guidance on state linkages to the organization’s core staff.
