State and local air pollution control agencies from across the country are hosting a national forum to discuss residential wood combustion issues with a variety of stakeholders. This educational forum will bring together government officials, industry representatives, public health advocates, environmental groups, and academics. The goals of this forum are to: (1) provide interested parties an opportunity to share information; and (2) identify opportunities and challenges that may affect the development and promulgation of a New Source Performance Standard for residential wood burning devices.
The meeting will take place at the Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The Depot is offering a group rate of $121/night for this event if you reference NESCAUM or the Residential Wood Heat Forum, but these rooms are limited. To reserve a room, call 1-866-211-4611. The deadline to reserve a room is Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Note: the Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel sits adjacent to its sister hotel, the Residence Inn Minneapolis at the Depot. Their website has detailed directions to the hotel.
Continental breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks will be provided for forum participants.
The registration deadline is October 15, 2012. Space is limited, and we are currently accepting registrations for one attendee per organization. We are also allowing registrations for a waiting list, and will confirm wait-listed registrants as space allows.
